We've undertaken outdoor house painting projects in Nepean such as this beautiful backyard deck. This project included several steps:

  1. Pressure washing a few weeks before in order to clean the dirt and grime from the season before

  2. Power sanding each individual board to sand off all of the peeling stain and ensure adhesion for the next coat

  3. Application of stain with a brush, going along the grain of the wood, from one end to the other, thereby avoiding lapmarks and other inconsistencies before drying.

  • Preparing, priming, patching, and sanding all surfaces before paint application. This included wallpaper removal!

  • Wallpaper removal included scoring the old wallpaper, applying glue removal solution, allowing that to set, and then scraping and sanding until all surfaces are smooth.

  • Room preparation including dropsheets on all surfaces and plastic covering furniture and personal belongings.

  • Paint application, first on ceilings, baseboards, and door casings, followed by wall painting.

Recently, Letts Paint completed a leveled single-family home in Nepean's Arlington Woods. The levels of the home required the use of careful ladder placements and ceiling heights. The project included the following:

  • Preparing, priming, patching, and sanding all surfaces before paint application.

  • Preparing the rooms for safe and efficient ladder placements. This included using a 3-way ladder to reach hard-to-reach corners and areas.

  • Room preparation including dropsheets on all surfaces and plastic covering furniture and personal belongings.

  • Paint application to ceilings, baseboards, window frames, door casings, and finally to walls.

Just off of Holly Acres and Richmond roads, Letts Paint took on a nearly 1000-square foot basement interior painting project. This task included several steps:

  1. Removing all cover plates, carefully removing overhead lights for tight cut-lines and completeness.

  2. Laying out dropsheets for maximum coverage.

  3. Removing nail holes, mudding imperfections, priming sanded surfaces.

  4. Putting a top coat on top of all trim, including baseboards, door casings and window trim, before finishing the project with two coats of wall paint.
